Universal Trade Frames joins Residence and Regalead focus group to help shape new open-in door brochure

Universal Trade Frames has been selected as a launch partner and focus group member for the Residence Collection’s new open-in, timber-alternative entrance door, as development continues ahead of the official trade brochure release.

The invite-only focus group brings together a select number of Residence specialists to shape the product’s trade-facing proposition.

The aim is to produce a dedicated brochure that clearly communicates the door’s features, technical details, and selling points to support its market introduction.

“We’re proud to be part of this group,” said Richard Hammond, Sales Director at Universal Trade Frames. “It’s recognition of the role we’ve played in developing and delivering this product to market, and it gives us a real opportunity to shape the way installers engage with it from day one.”

Designed to work seamlessly with Residence 9, Residence 7, and Residence² profiles, the new entrance door showcases authentic timber-style detailing thanks to the HeritageWeld process.

It also introduces fresh design options such as stackable deep bottom rails, midrails, sash mullions, and an expanded range of decorative glass designs from Regalead, alongside period-inspired hardware.

The range has been created with installers in mind, grouping doors into predefined configurations named in a way that mirrors composite door ranges. This makes selection simpler, speeds up quoting, and helps fabricators and installers secure orders more efficiently.

Flexibility is another key strength, with the door offering sizes beyond standard composite dimensions, up to 2300mm and above, providing a distinctive alternative to slab-based systems.

With industry interest already growing, the Residence Collection’s open-in entrance door is expected to generate strong demand among installers looking for something new and distinctive in the timber-alternative sector.
